Did you enjoy campmeeting?  Praise God!  Hallelujah!  Praise God!

I need to tell you something about a story a pastor told me before I play this song. 

I met this pastor and he was telling me a story about a young girl. 

And he was telling me that this little girl, she was about eight years old,
would come to the alter and cry and just weep before the Lord.    

He said he watched her and watched her and she kept it up.

And he would go home and come back to the evening service 
and that little girl would be down at the alter 
by the time he got back and she was crying.

And finally he went up to her and asked her why she was there. 
"Does your parents know you're  here?"

She said, "No!" My father has forbidden me to come to church." 

"But he's so mean and when he drinks nobody likes to be around him 
because he gets vicious and argues and fights."

She said, "I lay at night and listen to my dad and my mom fight all night!"

You know parents listening by radio. 

How bad it is for two parents to fight
and the effect that it has on a child. 

It's so damaging that you and I need to realize that.

You see, I didn't realize that, ladies and gentlemen, 
because I wasn't a Christian, you know.

And neither were you.   

There's a lot of you that did that
and we hurt our children.

And as the pastor went on he told me that she just kept this up. 

And finally he just gave her a key, at eight years old,
to go over and use the church whenever she wanted,
but, to sneak over when Dad didn't know.

She was praying this prayer. "Fix my Daddy's heart!"
"I don't want them to be separated and I know that's where they're going!"

And she kept praying! 

Then Jesus came!

See, that person was me that she was praying for.
